Workshops & Events It has come to our notice that not all yoga students want to teach, but many do want to learn more about yoga. People are reaching out, hungering for deeper understanding, thirsting for enough knowledge and information to be able to deal much better with life's demands on their time and energy, some with a yearning for enlightenment and some who simply want to find some inner peace. The duty of a Swami is to answer that need with as much support as possible. This page gives information on Workshops, Yoga Nidra Pot Luck Supper Evenings and Special Events. Workshops To book any of the workshops below please complete the Workshop Booking Form and send, with your payment, to Yoga Seekers, The Orange House, Church Road, Windlesham, Surrey GU20 6BT. Places on workshops will be allotted on a first-come, first-served basis. Bookings must be received at least ten days prior to the workshop. If you need to cancel your booking, a refund (of 50%) will only be given if you cancel with at least two weeks notice.2010 Introduction to Yoga Come along and experience a taste of yoga in a friendly and welcoming environment. We will include work on breathing, relaxation and posture. The gate to the Sadhana Hall will open at 9.45 a.m. Please wear comfortable clothing. Booking is essential. Maximum of 10 participants. Yoga Detox, Shankhaprakshalana/Varisara Dhauti. *** This is a traditional deep cleansing routine practised by yogis during the change of season. We have an early start for this practice (8.30am) and it is important that you do not have breakfast. To be undertaken in a group of friendly people who are relaxed and light hearted. An Ideas 'Swap-Shop' Initially directed by Swamiji as a new concept in 1980 on behalf of Dr P. Buck (Elmbridge F.Ed. Principal) and subsequently as Teacher Training workshops at the Yoga Biomedical Trust in London, on behalf of Dr. Robin Munro. This workshop covers safely teaching, experiencing and adapting Asana (yoga postures) for those who have to meet physical challenges on a daily basis. Bring your own notes of ideas and experiences to share with the group. Date: 2010 dates TBA. Cost £30.
The Bhagavad-Gita ***The Gita has long been considered one of the most important philosophical and literary works known to man; the essence of Vedic literature that forms the basis of philosophy and spirituality. This workshop will explore how the text is used to introduce new ways of thinking to us, the Margas or ‘paths' we are drawn to and concepts such as Prakriti, Perusha, the Gunas, Atman and Brahman. If it is a long time since you studied the text or never really appreciated it then this is your chance to explore, discuss and find some deep insights. Date: 2010 dates TBA. Cost £30.

Yoga Nidra & Pot Luck Supper Evenings 2010 Dates TBA Yoga Nidra - The Popular Form of Relaxation Swamiji invites you to join her in Yoga Nidra and then afterwards to have fun at the Pot Luck Supper. The venue is the Sadhana Hall at The Orange House. The Hall will be open from 7pm and the gate will close promptly at 7.20pm to enable our Yoga Nidra to commence at 7.30 p.m. The relaxation lasts approximately one hour and is followed by a get-together and a "Pot Luck Supper". The fee for the evening is £10.00 plus a contribution of a vegetarian dish (and a bottle if you wish). Numbers will be limited. To reserve a place please complete the Yoga Nidra Evening Booking Form and return, together with your £10.00 fee. Cheques should be made payable to ‘Yoga Seekers'.
